Description

This will explore some advanced elements of ABR testing including performing bone conduction testing and masking the ABR. This course will demonstrate ABR testing on both a baby and an adult, with interactive tasks and case studies. To gain the most benefit from this course it is expected that you are aware of the basic physiology, test process and interpretation of the auditory brainstem response test.

Learning Objectives

  • Be able to identify the common challenges in ABR test process and how to overcome them.
  • Understand how to perform bone conduction ABR testing.
  • Learn how to identify when masking is required and be able to perform masked ABR testing.

Amanda Goodhew
Amanda holds a Master's degree in Audiology from the University of Southampton. She has extensive experience holding senior audiologist positions in numerous NHS hospitals and clinics, where her primary focus has been pediatric audiology. Her specific areas of interest are electrophysiology, neonatal diagnostics and amplification, and the assessment and rehabilitation of patients with complex needs.
