End-to-end project management
In this new role as Senior Project Manager, you’ll report to the manager of the PMO and be part of a team of six project managers with various backgrounds and expertise. You’ll take ownership of projects that can relate to both hardware, software or feature development, and lead from early inception to production hand-over. In other words, you’ll be responsible for end-to-end management of our R&D projects with time horizons of up to four years. This exciting role is performed in an organizational setup, where 90% of project resources are drawn from within the organization. Moreover, since we are developing our project management organization and processes, you’ll contribute with your knowledge in optimizing the way we work with project management as a discipline.
Ownership and accountability
To succeed in this role, you’re a person who leads the way. You know how to manage projects where resources are lent to you from business units across the organization. Thus, you master the discipline of managing resources and people without a management mandate. It is your enthusiasm, likeability and professionalism that creates a team spirit in which its members work dedicated and focused to meet deadlines.
When a project is deviating from the plan – which will happen – you have already foreseen this as part of your risk assessment. You are capable of making the necessary adjustments, based on alternative risk scenarios.
Your background
You may have worked with product development and project management for some time and know the sequences and phases involved in taking a project from early inception to production. Experience with both hardware and software projects is an advantage. Furthermore, we value experience with both matrix- and traditional project management organizational setups. But most importantly, we’re looking for a candidate that is passionate about project management as a discipline.
