This quick guide provides information on how to reconfigure the HTC Vive Ultimate Trackers.

If you need to reconfigure the trackers you will be automatically prompted. This usually occurs when you move the location of your Virtualis solution or change the room boundary. Note: if you move locations of your Virtualis solution, you will first be prompted to configure the room boundary. Complete the steps found in the “How to Reconfigure the Room Boundary” quick guide first.

If you move locations of your Virtualis solution but you are not prompted, first make sure the tracker dongle is inserted into the USB-c port on the HTC Vive Focus Vision VR headset and the trackers are turned on. If you are still not prompted, please refer to the troubleshooting quick guide.

Steps to reconfigure VIVE Ultimate Trackers

1. Place the HTC Vive Focus Vision VR headset on your head.

2. You will then be prompted to reconfigure the trackers by scanning the room at low heights to ensure proper tracking below knee height. Using a controller, press “Start.”

3. Kneel to begin the tracker configuration.

4. Once in position, a pop-up will appear. Using a controller, press “Start scan.”

5. Look at the creature that appears in the tree trunks. Continue to focus on the creature until it disappears. You will need to complete this several times. Remain kneeling down through the entire scanning process.

6. Once finished, a confirmation pop-up will appear. Using a controller, press “OK.”

7. Before attaching the trackers, ensure each tracker is set up correctly:

  • Hold each tracker in your hand (do not cover cameras on front) then stand up. Ensure the trackers are tracking correctly before placing them on the track straps. You should see a blue number appear above the tracker. This shows the tracker is configured correctly.
  • Place the tracker on the track strap. Avoid covering the cameras on the front of the tracker.

8. Once finished, use a controller and press “Next.”

9. The tracker setup is complete. Using a controller, press “OK.”

10. It is recommended to open a Virtualis module to test the trackers (example: Catch the Ball) before your patient arrives.

11. When your patient is present, attach the trackers and track straps to the intended body parts needed for the Virtualis module. Make sure the trackers are powered on and display a green light. If not, press and hold the button on the tracker to turn it on. No reconfiguration is required.

12. Launch the Virtualis module.
