Frequently asked questions

What is an audiometer?
An audiometer is an instrument used to measure hearing ability. Audiometers can identify hearing loss and the underlying causes for the hearing loss. We offer several types of audiometers, including pediatric, screening, diagnostic, and clinical audiometers.
How to do a hearing screening with an audiometer?

You can do a hearing screening with an audiometer in two ways. Firstly, you can make a quick audiogram with four frequencies and no lower than 20 dB to get a quick overview of the hearing thresholds. Secondly, your patient can make their own audiogram by performing an automated test if available on the audiometer.
