At Interacoustics, sustainability is an integral part of how we do business. We are continuously working to reduce our environmental footprint and contribute to a healthier planet—through responsible product design, transparent reporting, and collaboration across our value chain.
As part of Demant’s broader ESG strategy, our goals guide our efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions across operations, products, and supply chains.

Towards sustainable products

We strive to address the full lifecycle of our products—from sourcing and production to end-of-life—to reduce environmental impact and support circularity.

1. Materials

We use materials that meet environmental standards and increasingly incorporate recycled content, such as reused plastic.

2. Purchased goods

We collaborate with suppliers and shipping partners to reduce environmental impacts, including energy use and packaging.

3. Production & Packaging

We strive to use fewer materials and consume less energy in production.

4. Delivery

We continuously work to optimize shipping methods to reduce carbon emissions.

5. Use

Our products are designed for long life, with replaceable components and frequent software updates to ensure continued performance.

6. End of life

We design for easy disassembly and proper disposal. Plastic components are labeled to support correct sorting and reuse.

Packaging and circularity

We continuously optimize packaging to reduce waste and increase recycled content:

Cardboard packaging contains at least 98% recycled material
Plastic bags contain a minimum of 50% recycled content
Bubble foil is made from 100% ocean waste plastic
Stretch foil for pallets contains 80% recycled material

Responsible Supply Chain

We work closely with suppliers to improve sustainability across the value chain. This includes:

Collecting data on subcomponents
Reducing the use of virgin materials
Exploring more sustainable logistics
Involving suppliers in our Life-cycle analysis

Waste and resource management

We manage waste in accordance with EU and national legislation and report transparently on volumes and handling.

Reducing hazardous and non-hazardous waste

Promoting reuse and recycling

Ensuring proper disposal through certified channels
