Customer story: KINÉ Clinic’s innovative approach to vestibular rehabilitation with Virtualis

19 September 2025

KINÉ Clinic, a private physical therapy center in Querétaro, Mexico, has transformed its vestibular rehabilitation services using the Virtualis VR solution from Interacoustics. The technology has enabled more personalized, engaging, and precise treatments, enhancing patient outcomes, professional collaboration, and the clinic’s reputation.

About KINÉ Clinic

KINÉ Clinic has over 15 years of experience and provides more than 6,000 consultations per year. It specializes in balance and vestibular rehabilitation, pelvic floor therapy, sports and orthopedic medicine, and pain management. Founded by Jean Soupart, the clinic takes an active, patient-centered approach. It focuses on therapeutic exercises and non-invasive techniques to help patients regain independence and function.

The clinical challenge

Before using Virtualis, Jean Soupart relied on traditional methods to evaluate and treat balance disorders. Although clinically sound, these methods lacked objective data and variety. Treatment plans were repetitive and hard to personalize, which reduced patient engagement. Collaboration with other professionals was also difficult due to the lack of measurable data.

The solution

Jean decided to adopt Virtualis after seeing his brother use it in Belgium. At a rehabilitation expo in Paris, he visited the Virtualis stand and was impressed by how well it matched the concepts he had just studied in a vestibular rehabilitation course.

“I immediately saw how Virtualis fit with the principles I had learned. It gave me a powerful and practical way to apply them in real clinical settings,” Jean said.

Virtualis allowed Jean to combine proprioceptive, visual, and vestibular stimuli into cohesive exercises, enhancing both evaluation and treatment.

“Using Virtualis, I realized how limited my previous evaluations were. Now, I can offer personalized and engaging sessions that truly reflect each patient’s needs.”

Daily use in clinical practice

At KINÉ Clinic, almost all vestibular patients start with an initial evaluation using Virtualis, including the Sensory Organization Test and other tools. These assessments help identify affected systems and symptom intensity, guiding the creation of individualized rehabilitation programs.

Each therapeutic session includes virtual reality training that stimulates the vestibular and visual systems. Patients also receive customized home exercise plans to continue their progress.

Besides vestibular care, KINÉ Clinic uses Virtualis to help orthopedic and sports patients recover function. It also supports fall prevention in older adults through safe, targeted VR training.

The value of Virtualis according to Jean

Jean highlights several standout features of the Virtualis solution:

  • Quick setup fits easily into 30-minute sessions.
  • Adjustable settings allow for personalized treatment strategies.
  • Objective tools like the Sensory Organization Test guide therapy.
  • Precise control of visual, vestibular, and proprioceptive stimulation.
  • Safe and immersive environment supports patient engagement and autonomy.

“Virtualis lets me apply my clinical knowledge in a structured, scientific way. It’s not just a tool; it’s a platform for real therapeutic strategy.”

Impact and benefits

Virtualis helps KINÉ Clinic address past challenges by combining evaluation and treatment in one system. It supports a functional, exercise-based approach and encourages active patient involvement.

“Virtualis helps me apply my knowledge as a physical therapist. It connects clinical science with real-life movement and function.”

Patients experience logical, structured therapy that fosters trust and motivation. The immersive design enhances satisfaction and adherence, while the clinic benefits from a modern, professional image that attracts new patients.
