Interacoustics and Bertec® - dizziness made treatable
In 2018, Interacoustics and Bertec® entered into a distribution agreement, in which Interacoustics will promote and distribute the Bertec® rehabilitation portfolio. It’s now time to pop the champagne and hit the launch button!
From diagnosis to rehabilitation
Interacoustics now covers the full spectrum of balance healthcare, from diagnosis and assessment to treatment and rehabilitation.
On beforehand, Interacoustics and Micromedical, two of the world-leading suppliers of balance equipment, had joined forces under the name of Micromedical by Interacoustics. This alliance has led to the release of diagnostic software platforms such as VisualEyesTM 515/525.
The Micromedical by Interacoustics product range is engaged with diagnosis and assessment, whereas the Bertec® portfolio enables treatment and rehabilitation following initial assessment.
Jacob Bjerrisgaard, Business Unit Manager, Interacoustics, elaborates:

The Bertec® portfolio
CDP/IVRTM
Seen in the picture above is the Bertec® CDP/IVRTM, which offers Computerized Dynamic Posturography (CDP) with Immersive Virtual Reality (IVR). The CDP/IVRTM functions as an assessment tool with endless IVR scenarios for balance rehabilitation.
The Bertec® Essential and Functional systems provide objective data about balance performance, using accurate measurements with a dual-balance force plate, equipped with either a firm or a foam surface.
Vision AdvantageTM provides comprehensive vestibular-ocular reflex (VOR) assessments and is equipped with a wireless and lightweight head-worn sensor.
