Interacoustics is proud to announce the truly groundbreaking technology Wideband Tympanometry (WBT). This technology will change the way you look at middle ear diagnostics.

What is WBT?
WBT from Interacoustics is an expanded version of tympanometry. It uses a wideband probe stimulus to assess the middle ear’s ability to absorb frequencies across the entire band of frequencies from 226Hz to 8kHz, rather than just 226Hz or 1kHz. This can make it easier to differentiate among middle ear pathologies like

  • Middle ear effusion
  • Otosclerosis
  • Ossicular discontinuity
  • Semicircular Canal Dehiscence
  • Perforations
  • Negative middle ear pressure

WBT takes no more time than standard 226 Hz probe tone tympanometry, but provides far more useful information:

  • Differentiating between pathologies has never been more promising and Interpretation is enhanced because WBT results are displayed in a variety of formats :
    • Standard tympanograms (pressure vs. compliance)
    • Average Wideband Tympanogram
    • 3-D graphs combining  pressure, frequency and absorbance
  • Established normative data for absorbance are available for a range of age groups from newborn to adult.
  • Absorbance results are provided at ambient and tympanometric peak pressure from the same measurement
  • Middle ear absorbance vs. frequency

Interacoustics is proud to announce the release of the TEOAE440 module for the Titan platform. In addition to TEOAE, the ergonomic & lightweight Titan also features Impedance, DPOAE & automated ABR offering the latest technologies for neonatal hearing screening and diagnostic assessment.

The key benefits of the Titan software modules are user-friendliness, speed, reliability and accuracy to ensure the best possible test results.

The TEOAE440 software is characterized by its clean, contemporary and comprehensive user interface where flexibility allows the clinician to create protocols and displays according to their specific needs. The TEOAE440 is available in both a screening and clinical version and has a frequency range of 500Hz - 5.5kHz (screener version 1 - 4kHz).

An additional new option includes a middle ear pressurization feature to equalize middle ear pressure before an OAE test.
